The Society for Intelligence History (SIH) and the Macquarie Intelligence Studies Research Group (MISRG) invite you to join us at an intelligence studies workshop at Macquarie University on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August 2026 covering the broad theme of “Intelligence in the Southern Hemisphere: Past and Present.”

The workshop will involve two days of panels covering the topics:

The Five Eyes: Past, Present, Future
Intelligence Diplomacy
Diversity and Gender in Intelligence
Security and Surveillance
Intelligence Analysis and Education

The workshop has been designed as a forum for intelligence studies and intelligence history scholars – who often work across different disciplines and fields – to come together and share their research. To better facilitate this, the workshop will be comprised of a single stream of panels, and we encourage all participants to attend the full two days of sessions.

We will be charging a small registration fee of AU$120 per person to cover event delivery.
