DESCRIPTION

This friendly 4-week intermediate sewing program is perfect for adults with basic sewing experience who are ready to build their confidence and take their skills further. Learn in a relaxed, small-group setting with guidance from an experienced teacher.

Develop your sewing techniques, become more confident following patterns and put your skills into practice by creating your own projects.

In this 4-week program you will learn to:

Follow and interpret sewing patterns with greater confidence
Measure, pin and cut fabric accurately
Refine your stitching, seams and finishing techniques
Adjust machine settings to suit different fabrics
Troubleshoot common sewing problems
Develop your garment and bag-making skills

No sewing machine? No problem!

Sewing machines, equipment and accessories are supplied.

Participants will need to purchase their own fabric at their own cost.

Basic sewing skills are required for this intermediate class.

Refund policy

Cancellations by Sandybeach Centre Classes require minimum enrolments to proceed. If Sandybeach Centre cancels a class, program or event, participants will receive a full refund or credit. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Participant Cancellations Unless otherwise stated, cancellations and transfer requests must be received at least 7 days before the start date. A $40 administration fee may apply. No refunds or transfers are available within 7 days or after a program has commenced. Materials already purchased may be excluded from the refund. Humanitix Refunds: Participants can request a refund through their Humanitix account up to 7 days before the class, program or event start date. Refunds are not available within 7 days of the start date. ACFE Subsidised Places Withdrawal must be made in writing within 4 weeks of commencement. • No training undertaken: refund less $20 administration fee • Part training completed: pro-rata refund less $20 administration fee • Accredited courses: $50 administration fee • After 4 weeks: no refund Events Refund requests must be received at least 7 days before the event. If you are unable to attend, please notify Sandybeach Centre as soon as possible. A non-attendance fee may apply where costs such as catering or entertainment have already been incurred. General By booking, you agree to receive communications relating to your booking and relevant Sandybeach Centre programs and events. Photography or video taken during programs and events may be used for Sandybeach Centre promotional purposes. There are no classes on Victorian public holidays.
