California has ambitious goals for addressing its housing crisis, improving the transportation system, enhancing people’s lives, and mitigating climate change. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions, delivering new housing, and uplifting communities left behind require local and regional implementation efforts. Implementation is the most formidable challenge to achieving these policy goals, as it often requires agencies and governments to depart from existing ways and adopt new approaches. Existing academic evidence offers various solutions that can make transportation and housing more sustainable and equitable but often has less to say about how cities can enact these approaches. This conference highlights promising approaches from outside the Los Angeles region that can make a difference, shared by the people who made them happen. 

InterActions LA is an annual conference dedicated to advancing equitable solutions to transportation and housing challenges in Greater Los Angeles. Bringing together a professional community in different sectors, this event ignites conversation and exchanges ideas. It provides knowledge on topics related to improving housing and transportation in the Los Angeles region.
