INTERCONNECTION: Jindabyne Amateur Philosophy Symposium 2023
Event description
The living world thrives by maximising diversity and connectivity, following natural rhythms, respecting natural limits, and repeating successful patterns. How can we learn from nature and integrate these lessons into our lives?
THEME
"Nature-based" perspectives and approaches are emerging into prominence everywhere. Exciting developments inspired by natural processes are influencing philosophy, the arts and sciences, health and wellbeing, land management, economics, business, education, spirituality, and practical living. These new (and ancient) ways of observing, thinking, knowing, doing, being, and co-becoming emphasise "the big picture" and highlight the interconnectedness of all things. This symposium will showcase examples of nature-based, ecological, holistic, and systems frameworks being applied in diverse fields. Join us in the spirit of interconnection and inquiry as we explore how to engage with and utilise nature's wisdom.
TOPICS
Faith and Ecology, Community Ethnography, Ecopsychology, Ecotheology, Nature-Based Wellbeing Approaches, Ecomagick
