About the evening
The interfaith dinner for Palestine is about making explicit our shared ancient wisdom about life, dignity and freedom. It is a chance for us to connect purposefully over a meal - especially at a time when moral courage is being demanded of us more than ever.
This event has been scheduled to coincide with the launch of the Global Sumud Flotilla, composed of delegations from 44 countries on the largest maritime mission to attempt to break Israel's siege on Gaza.
What to expect
We are holding the event in a private room at the restaurant with tables of 8 for a maximum of 50 people. Mingling is encouraged and will be accommodated throughout the flow of the evening.
It is a set shared meal which incurs a per-head cost of $50 (reduced from $60). This covers hommos, babaghanoj, tabouli, fattoush, sambousek, felafel, batata bi kizbara, mansaf rice and shish tawook.
We acknowledge that this price is a barrier for many. For transparency, Wyndham for Palestine chose to host this event at an establishment in order to reduce labour/logistics and maximise mutual attention.
We regularly hold free or low-cost events; please check Instagram for updates.
If you would like to 'pay forward' - to sponsor someone else to join - please contact Wyndham for Palestine via email: wyndhamforpalestine@gmail.com.
Donations
There is an opportunity at checkout to donate on top of the ticket price, for those with capacity. Any funds generated from this field will be directed toward the Global Sumud Flotilla and to support a local family from Gaza.
