Belinda (Bel) Nihill: Principal Designer
The founder of Nest Design Studio is Belinda (Bel) Nihill. As a qualified Interior Designer, Bel worked for 10 years in the construction industry, helping clients create their dream spaces before starting Nest. Full of creativity and with a passion for design, Bel understands how your space can impact your lifestyle.
From her studio in Bendigo, Australia, Bel has created projects both locally and internationally, working with clients from the USA to France, Dubai to Canada. Bel’s work has been recognised on the international design stage, with her designs being featured in magazines and websites globally. She has been a finalist in the prestigious House & Garden Top 50 Rooms Awards twice and has also published a book titled Beautiful Babies’ Rooms.
When she’s not designing, she can be found chauffeuring her three sons to their many after-school activities, reading, doing puzzles, or enjoying a wine at the Nihill Farm, creatively called Green Acres.

Melanie (Mel) Clark: Creative Director
Melanie together with her husband Justin, is the owner and creative lead of Fabriq, formerly known as Reanne Curtains & Design. A locally owned and family operated business, Fabriq has serviced Bendigo and surrounding districts for the past 30 years.
What makes Fabriq unique is the core to the business, the workroom. All soft furnishings and upholstery is made in their newly designed and purpose built facility, right here in Bendigo. This year, Fabriq was proud to be recognised with the Bendigo Business Excellence Award in the Manufacturing category, celebrating their commitment to quality and local industry.
Alongside her team, Mel works with both homeowners and local businesses to transform spaces with creativity, craftsmanship and attention to detail with her vast knowledge and experience with beautiful textiles.
