This is your chance to learn how to have incredible connection with anyone you dance with. To explore how to dance together with a lightness and grace that makes you go "WOW, that was a special dance".
AND FOLLOWERS! This is your time to SHINE! We will also be diving into strategies for active following - which means more fun, more musicality, and more of YOUR expression! (Leaders, this is a good thing for you too - trust me, you'll love it!)

What is Forró?
Forró is a popular partner dance from the northeast of Brazil, which is still to this day deeply interwoven with peoples' way of life. (But of course, you already know this!) In class, we will explore the many textures, instruments, and rhythms in Forró music and touch on the cultural influences to the music & dance style. Although I am not Brazilian, I want to acknowledge the deep link Forró still holds to its roots, and invite more people to enjoy this wonderful dance and genre of music.

Monday the 11th & 18th of November (2 weeks ONLY!)
6:30 - 7:45pm Workshop
7:45pm Social
Location: The Wriggle Room, Level 1/201 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville NSW 2204
