(Participants should already be comfortable with basic hand tools and simple fabric fixing.)
Workshop Purpose
This workshop builds practical, transferable upholstery skills used in professional furniture repair and making. The focus is on structural seat preparation, correct webbing installation, and controlled use of pneumatic stapling tools to achieve durable, clean, and repeatable results.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
Select appropriate webbing, staples, and fixing methods based on furniture type and load requirements
Safely operate and maintain pneumatic stapling equipment
Install and tension webbing accurately to provide long‑term structural support
Build and assess upholstery layers for comfort, durability, and shape
Apply top fabric with controlled tension and professional finish
Diagnose and correct common upholstery failures and workmanship faults

Jute webbing, elastic webbing (where applicable)
