Event description

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations day observed on 3 December each year to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

The United Nations has announced the theme for IDPwD 2024:

Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future.

This year the University will mark IDPwD by hosting a morning tea at the newly refurbished Union House in Function Room 1. All staff, students and university community members are welcome to come together to mark this day.

Light refreshments provided and attendees welcome to BYO coffees.

Please note that the function room is accessible via lift and there is a nearby accessible bathroom. There is also a newly installed parenting room available on level 2 of Union House.
