2nd International Dementia Innovation Conference Bali 2026

OUR CONFERENCE

The 2nd International Dementia Innovation Conference 2026 (#IDIC2026) provides a platform for lived experience experts (people living with dementia), academics, students, researchers, serivce providers, government officials, and suppliers to showcase their work, study, research, technology, experiences and achievements in dementia innovation from Australia, South East Asia, Europe and the US.

The conference is a partnership between Community Home Australia, a leading dementia and disability service provider from Australia and CHA International Resorts, the owner of the first fully accessible and inclusive resort for people living with dementia and disability operated by an Australian aged care and disability provider.

Once again we will be supporting local dementia services as our chosen charity recipient. Profits from the conference will go to supporting local grassroots oranisations.

Local speakers and lived experience experts (those living with dementia) from the south east asian region are strongly encouraged to submit their abstracts for presentations.

WORLD WALK FOR DEMENTIA - BALI

In conjunction with the conference, we will be holding the second World Dementia Walk - Bali on 12 September 2026 to raise awareness of dementia and much needed funds for dementia research and programs.

With two walks catering for all participants, the first walk is from the base of majestic volcano Mt Agung to the beach of Pantai Jasri, 20km. In the final strecthes the long walk will meet up with the rest of our group to complete the final 5km from Amlapura together to raise much needed funds for research and support services. All monies raised will be donated to this worthy cause.

The region of Karagasem has a wide variety of accommodation options available including hotels, resorts, bed & breakfasts and private villas. Accommodation can be booked directly through all major booking sites including booking.com, expedia, agonda and qantas holidays.

Accommodation at Aashaya Jasri Resort will be limited to people living with dementia and their carers so we can provide a safe and supportive environment. Attendees living with dementia should contact the conference organiser directly to arrange accommodation.

AIRFARES

QANTAS, Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air all provide direct flights to Denpasar from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne,Adelaide, Darwin and Perth.
