International Jazz Day
Event description
Join us to celebrate International Jazz Day with the third event in our Jazz series. Friday with Mark Bolsius and Stephen O'Connell, Saturday at The Civic Theatre, and Sunday with improv and electric jazz.
Dom Vella will be performing a number of classic jazz tunes and some originals. The stage will be open to a few walk-in artists too. Dom will also do some workshopping with the audience for those who want to know more about any aspect of performance, such as the history of jazz, how to participate with other musicians, how to interpret lead sheets, and how to stop using them too.
Dom Vella has been performing for International Jazz Day since 2013 and has been improvising on music since his childhood. He has a bachelor degree in music to top it off. With that much experience, this event will be both informative and entertaining.
The KB3 & 1/2 band comprises Wayne Pigrim, Klaus Buzzman, and Greg Gilmore with friends. An eclectic and electric Jazz!
