International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day Global Wave of Light
Description
Come join us on Thursday October 15th, 2026, at 5:30 PM for a heartfelt gathering, the International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day
October 15 is recognised around the world as International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The purpose of this very special day is to allow families the opportunity to pause, reflect and honour the life of their precious baby/babies who have passed away. It is also a way to bring about greater public awareness of pregnancy loss, and the importance of acknowledging their lives and the impact it has on greater families. We invite you to attend the ‘Wave of Light’ service and light a candle in honour of your loved one.
Light refreshments will be served from 5.30pm with event commencing at 6pm.
Location is in E Block building which is located next to the car park.
All children welcome - Please book tickets for your children for child minding purposes (we need to know numbers).
During the evening, we have a presentation with the names of the babies we are remembering this year.
Families are invited to email us on perinatallosscoordinator@health.qld.gov.au, the full name of your baby/babies to be included in the presentation.
