Theme: "Accelerating Gender Equality through Economic Empowerment"

Celebrate the strength and resilience of women as we gather for a delightful breakfast and engaging panel discussion with remarkable women from diverse backgrounds including Industrial Relations Commissioner Samantha Pidgeon, First Nations Barrister and Advocate Avelina Tarrago, Working Women Qld Director Eloise Dalton and CEO of Multicultural Australia Christine Castley! Including a special Acknowledgement of Country by the incredible Waveney Yasso. Discover the importance of economic empowerment in accelerating gender equality, and hear firsthand experiences from our inspirational panelists.

This event will be hosted on the unceded lands of the Yuggera and Turrbul peoples. Basic Rights Queensland acknowledges that sovereignty was never ceded, and pays our respects to elders past, present, and emerging. In particular, we pay our respects to the Yuggera and Turrbul matriarchs whose legacy of caring for country and community we all continue to benefit from to this day. 

General Tickets: $30 p/p

Unwaged (out of work or doing unpaid work):- $15 p/p

First Nations Tickets are complimentary but registration is essential.

Solidarity Tickets:- Includes one general admission ticket and another ticket to be provided to an attendee who may not be otherwise able to afford to attend allocated by Basic Rights Qld.

Donations:- All donations support the ongoing work of Basic Rights Queensland and Working Women Queensland and are fully tax deductible.
