About this year's award recipient Diana Olsberg  
Associate Professor Diana Olsberg is an Economic Sociologist and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). After an early career in journalism, Diana led the way for women working in the Public Relations field, becoming the first female senior consultant at the largest PR firm in the country. Having developed a strong passion for progressing women’s equality in the workplace, Diana then focused on exploring these themes through the world of academia. Diana's honours thesis investigated inequalities in the superannuation system, and her doctorate dissertation was awarded the Jean Martin Prize for the best PhD in the Social Sciences in Australia and New Zealand. Recognised as a leading expert in financial equity and superannuation, Diana was a Trustee Board Member of UNISUPER National Tertiary Superannuation Fund, Chair of the Membership Committee for UNISUPER for two decades, and a Commissioner on the Commonwealth Government Superannuation Complaints Tribunal for over a decade. Now retired, Diana continues to be a committed advocate for female financial equality, life-long economic empowerment and creating positive social outcomes. 

Diana Olsberg is a member of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research and a passionate campaigner against social isolation. Diana appeared on the popular ABC television show Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, a program that explored intergenerational activities, an area in which she is still highly active.
