International Women's Day Breakfast 2026
Description
This International Women's Day (IWD), The Gap State High School community is coming together to celebrate women and build awareness around shifting the balance.
The IWD 2026 theme for UN Women Australia is Balance the Scales, a promise — that every woman and girl, regardless of background or identity, should be safe, heard, and free to shape their own lives.
We invite EVERYONE; students, parents, carers, teachers and local community members to join us for a morning filled with connection, conversation and inspiring discussions as we explore some of the barriers women still face in our modern day.
We are also thrilled to welcome renowned Australian journalist and newsreader Kendall Gilding as our guest speaker. From reporting in the field to presenting the news to millions, Kendall knows the power of voice, courage and storytelling - and how women are reshaping leadership, media and public life.
Be part of the change, because when women and girls stand equal, families are stronger, workplaces are fairer, communities thrive, and society becomes safer for everyone.
We look forward to you joining us.
