International Women’s Day 2021 Theme is #ChooseToChallenge 

Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequity. We can choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements.

From challenge comes change, so let's all put our hands up and choose to challenge.

There may be some new arrangements to our usual event, to keep us all safe and well ( see Covid-19 Safety Protocol details below). We can promise you a most entertaining and enlightening afternoon and an opportunity to reconnect with our wonderful Byron community.

This event is our annual fundraiser for The SHIFT Project and is the cornerstone to our continued success in helping women transition from welfare to well-being. Our program of work experience, education and support has a tremendous success rate of over 90%. 

Together we will create some great memories and have some laughs, while raising money and challenging ideas and stereotypes.

We are repeating our successful raffle format from 2020 and have 4 fabulous raffles: 

$100 ticket (limited to 60 tickets)

$50 ticket ( limited to 100 tickets)

$20 ticket 

$10 ticket. 

These will be available on the day or to make sure you don’t miss out you can purchase online with your event ticket.

Please note tables will be per 10 - you can purchase a table or individual tickets - seating plans will be available on the day. If you are in a group size below 10 you will be sharing a table and making new friends on the day.

We look forward to celebrating IWD 2021 with you on 12th March.

ON THE DAY

Covid-19 Protocol

Your safety is our priority so we have ensured this is a covid safe event with the following protocol:

Private Entry Point

Entry to IWD Lunch is through the back of the function centre ( as per Writers Festival) so parking will be in the field behind Elements in order to access the entrance more easily. There will be no entry through Elements foyer.

QR Check-in and Temp check

All guests will be required to check in via a QR code before entering (so have your phones at the ready) there will be 5 QR points to avoid crowding.  At the entrance staff will also take your temperature.

Finding Your Table 

Once you have cleared the entry point you will arrive at the event check in where you will be advised of your table number and be seated at your table.  Tables will be placed to account for social distancing. Arrival sparkling will be served at your table.

Cash Bar

There will be a cash bar, however you will have to proceed directly to the bar and back, we are not allowed to walk around and mingle from table to table.

In order to help with the check in process we ask you to aim to arrive at 10.45 so everyone can be seated by 11.30 for the event opening.

Covid Marshalls will be present throughout the event to help and advise

Refund policy

As this is our annual fundraiser if you are unable to attend please note your refund will be generously donated to the Shift Project. Please do let us know if cannot attend for catering purposes. Elements is a Covid-safe venue and follow NSW Health Guidelines as required in this dynamic environment. The SHIFT Project will communicate directly to ticket-holders any changes to the event due to Covid restrictions.
