After a year of cancelled events and invitations that we never got to send out, we *finally* have the chance to host something special - and boy do we have some fun surprises in store!

Come join Victoria and the team as we celebrate the inaugural She’s on the Money International Women’s Day. Of course for us, everyday is about celebrating women but we wouldn’t miss the chance to bring together all of our favourite people (aka you) into one room to showcase some incredible speakers.

7:30am – Arrival, registration and coffee!
8:00am – Take your seats and enjoy our speakers (no allocated seating)
9:30am – Breakfast canapes, more coffee, smoothies and networking
10:00am – Time to enjoy the rest of your day feeling inspired!

Here at She's on the Money, we want everyone to feel welcome at our events. As part of our commitment, we have chosen venue spaces that are fully accessible and will also have Auslan interpreters present at all events.

SPEAKERS

Ashleigh Streeter-Jones
Described by Forbes as a “youthful visionary” Ashleigh Streeter-Jones is a writer, speaker, activist, and the founder of Raise Our Voice Australia, an initiative to boost the number of diverse young female and non-binary voices in public decision making.

Ashleigh started her career with VGen, World Vision Australia’s youth movement, and as the Victorian State Director, was a pivotal driver in the campaign that got child labour on the G20 agenda for the first time in history. Following this, she was appointed the inaugural National Director of Campaigns.

Ashleigh co-founded the Girls Takeover Parliament program in 2017, for which she was named the youngest ever ACT Woman of the Year and Forbes 30 Under 30 listee.

Ashleigh has delivered workshops at the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, and advocated for gender equality internationally, including at the United Nations and the YWCA World Council. In 2019, she was recognised as one of Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence.

Maria Thattil
Maria Thattil is Australia's most celebrated contemporary South-Asian media personality. A staunch diversity advocate, content creator, commentator, writer, model, speaker and media personality, Maria uses her voice and her words to create meaningful dialogue and campaign for change.

Crowned Miss Universe Australia in 2020, Maria placed in the top 10 in the international pageant in Florida in 2021 and was lauded for her brains and beauty. She was only the third woman of colour to represent Australia in the pageant’s 69-year history and was also the shortest international entrant standing at a proud 5’3.

Maria’s appearance as a cast member on Network Ten’s I’m a Celebrity …. Get Me Out of Here in early 2022 gained national attention when she came out as bi-sexual on-air, helping to de-stigmatise people’s sexual preferences. This led to her charity affiliation with Minus 18 – an Australian organisation which supports LGBTIQ youth.

Her appeal continues to escalate given her warm personality and ability to speak and write eloquently on a wide variety of issues. Many of Maria’s discussion topics and projects target social justice issues including anti-racism, diversity, inclusion, representation, youth empowerment, mental health, sexism in the workplace, gender equality and LGBTIQ issues.
