International Women's Day with Chai Walli
Event description
Empowered women, empower women.
Join us to celebrate International Women's' Day on Tuesday 15 March 2022. With this year's theme being #breakthebias, we are hosting an intimate evening event to empower and recognise the diversity of women-led small businesses in our local community. This is an inclusive event for people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Â
What to expect at the event:
- The event will begin at 5:30pm and kick off at 5:45pm with a yoga class led by Candice from COGA designed for people of all yoga abilities and experiences. Please wear comfortable clothing for this class and bring your own towel and mat. There are change rooms and bathroom facilities at the venue if you need to change your clothes
- After an invigorating 30 minute yoga class we will be providing nourishing cups of soul warming hot chai from the Chai Walli Chai Bar, with some yummy nibbles.
- As our tummies are enjoying the treats, an interactive workshop will be led by local legend, public speaker, entrepreneur and facilitator, Uppma Virdi. The workshop will be an interactive discussion around the different bias’ that exist in our world and how we can positively work towards counteracting them.Â
- We’ll finish off with a little mindfulness exercise before closing the night so you can enjoy the rest of your evening feeling empowered and full of good vibes and even better chai!
But I have work!
We know it’s a little early and for some it may be difficult to finish work on time to attend this event, but it’s International Women’s Day! So we’re sure if you tell your boss you’re going to go to a workshop to discuss how to make the world a more equal and bias-less place, they’ll agree to you finishing up work earlier!
