This theme highlights the critical importance of access to quality education and equal opportunities in driving personal growth, professional achievement, and societal progress. It calls on individuals, communities, and organisations to invest in creating environments where women can expand their knowledge, unlock new skills, and innovate boldly, knowing their contributions are valued. By supporting the empowerment of women, we fuel a future where potential is limitless, and progress is shared across all.This year’s theme, “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress” encourages the power of inclusion and economic empowerment to foster a gender-equal world.

Our guest speakers, Angie Kent and Alexis Fernandez, will headline the event.

Angie Kent is a well-known Australian personality, actress, and author. With her warm, relatable personality, Angie advocates for mental health, body positivity, and women’s empowerment, using her platform to inspire and uplift others.

Alexis Fernandez is a neuroscientist, author, and podcast host, known for her podcast Do You F**ing Mind?* where she shares insights on psychology, mental resilience, and self-growth. Her work combines scientific knowledge with real-life application, offering listeners practical tools to build confidence, develop healthy mindsets, and achieve personal fulfillment. Alexis is passionate about empowering people to understand their minds and live with intention.

In addition to this, Thrifter (@thrifter_au) will be hosting a Charity Fashion Parade where we will raise money for Lily House.

Lily House is a dedicated charity on the Sunshine Coast that provides crucial support to women and children in crisis. With a safe and nurturing environment, Lily House offers temporary accommodation, life skills training, and holistic support services to empower women facing difficult situations, including homelessness, domestic violence, and other hardships. The organization aims to help women build stable, fulfilling lives by equipping them with the resources and confidence needed to thrive independently. Through its compassionate approach, Lily House fosters resilience and hope, offering a path forward for women and their families within the community.
