    The NAWIC Canterbury and WIN Canterbury Chapters are pleased to bring you this fabulous new event.

    Sit back and relax with a glass of bubbly whilst we entertain and inform you with our selection of fascinating speakers to celebrate International Women's Day at Kate Sheppard House.


    Kate Sheppard House is a beautiful setting for a garden party.  Built by Kate and Walter Sheppard in 1887, the house is considered to be the epicenter of western feminism.  Kate lived and worked here during the crucial years of the suffrage campaign and collated the 1893 suffrage petition in the dining room.

    When: Saturday 11th March, 1.30pm-4.00pm 
    Where: Kate Sheppard House, 83 Clyde Road, Ilam, Christchurch.  

    Tickets: 

    - $25 for NAWIC / WIN members
    - Guests of members $35 each (each member is entitled to purchase one guest ticket to bring a friend along)  
    - General admission price is $55 each

    Ticket price includes: 

    - Two glasses of bubbles or non-alcoholic alternative
    - Tea selection and coffees.
    - High tea (sandwiches, pastries, cakes)
    - Entry to Kate Sheppard museum (normally $15 each)
