International Year Of Co-operatives Winter Garden Party!
Event description
July 5th marks the International Day of Co-operatives.
2025 also marks International Year of Co-operatives declared by the UN. This year's theme is "Cooperatives build a better world" and we couldn't agree more! Come along if you are a member of a co-op or even just co-op curious.
We'll have a low-key afternoon garden party with some live music from co-op team member Anjali Leonard, games with Robin Clayfield from Crystal Waters Community Co-operative, some winter warming tea (a blend specifically made for the event by Dom from the local Medicine Room herbal dispensary) and of course, organic nibbles from The Maple Street Co-op! There will be gluten free and vegan options available, please reach out if you have other dietary requirements.
The event will be held in the community garden, just behind the Maple Street Co-op. There is parking available on Bicentennial Lane. The driveway to the garden is a little steep so please get in touch if you have any accessibility questions or concerns. If there is rainy weather - we may move the event to the front of the building. Registering for the event means you'll receive any updates or cancellations.
Bring some warm clothes and hang with fellow co-operators!
Arrive at 2pm and the festivities will kick off shortly after.
