Manzana Workshop: Intersectional Feminism
Event description
We are excited to announce our first series of workshops at Manzana!
Our events are run by talented wāhine with specialty skills across a range of creative disciplines.
Our Intersectional Feminism workshop will be a casual, safe and low-pressure environment to discuss topics related to feminism, gender, and justice. Our workshop leaders are Kaitlin Henderson and Tessa Morgan, facilitators of the Intersectional Feminist Club. The club meets monthly at the Auckland Women's centre in Grey Lynn to discuss and share ideas in a creative and inclusive space.
Kaitlin Henderson is the Centre Manager at Auckland's Women's Center, and Tessa Morgan is a PhD graduate in late-life care. Together they will facilitate a discussion about the challenges we face as women or gender diverse individuals in the workplace and beyond. It will be a friendly environment to get to know and learn from the Manzana residents, creatives, and artists.
When: Friday, 22nd April 5.30pm - 7.30pm.
Where: Manzana Creative Entrepreneurship Community, 47 High Street, Auckland CBD (down the stairs beneath Tatty's).
Workshop capacity is currently limited to 25 participants, so we ask that you please register to secure your place :)
By the way, our first series is FREE, so jump in quick!
