Event description

ITV EuroVino returns for its second edition- pouring you wines from lesser-known regions- Armenia, UK, Hungary and Slovakia, as well as Italian Varieties produced by legendary growers Chalmers Wines and all the new world bangers from Eleven Sons wine. Early Bird Tickets close Tuesday 22nd April!

Into The Vines is a unique tasting event where boutique winemakers alongside specialised importers (with products usually only available on premise) bring the fruits of their labours to The Rochey for a carefully curated evening of tastings and discovery. This is a special Euro-Vino -themed edition coinciding with the novelty of the Eurovision Song Contest.

No wine knowledge is needed – you'll receive a glossary of wine terms, a card so you can rank and score your wines, and some wine-themed conversation-starters so you'll be a wine expert in no time.

We're hosting some of Australia's best importers (often you'll only find these wines exclusively on-premise in restaurants) as well as two incredible Victorian winemakers producing unique wines from locally grown Italian varieties, as well as a mixed bill of European varieties so you can compare the difference between new world and old. You can purchase directly from the makers on the evening. A grazing board will be stocked up on the night to help you cleanse your palate between tastings, and you can take a break with a dinner special of Gnocchi Cacio e Peppe from Al Dente Enoteca or a Steak Special.

Our Eurovino Representatives:

Hye Kini (Armenia)

Grafted Wines (UK)

Chalmers Wines (Australian Grown Italian Varieties)

Eleven Sons Wine (A mixed tape of all your favourite bangers- made here in Australia)

Cardwell Cellars (Hungary and Slovakia)

Elevate the evening with our 'Eurotica' Masterclass where over 45 minutes a wine from each of the participating winemakers and importers will be paired with a bite inspired by a key ingredient from the representing country, by Chef Andrea from Al Dente Enoteca. Served with a detailed explanation from Jay Bessell (City Wine Shop/ The European) about why what grows together goes together. It’s a quintessential experience for any curious food lover or epicurean, and a great chance to taste locally grown against some very unique winemaking styles and processes (old world vs new world).
