Into The Vines- EuroVino
Event description
ITV EuroVino returns for its second edition- pouring you wines from lesser-known regions- Armenia, Serbia, UK, Hungary and Slovakia, as well as Italian Varieties produced by Chalmers and all the new world bangers from Eleven Sons wine.
Into The Vines is a unique tasting event where boutique winemakers alongside specialised importers (with products usually only available on premise) bring the fruits of their labours to The Rochey for a carefully curated evening of tastings and discovery. This is a special Euro-Vino -themed edition coinciding with the novelty of the Eurovision Song Contest.
No wine knowledge is needed – you'll receive a glossary of wine terms, a card so you can rank and score your wines, and some wine-themed conversation-starters so you'll be a wine expert in no time.
We're hosting some of Australia's best importers (often you'll only find these wines exclusively on-premise in restaurants) as well as two incredible Victorian winemakers producing unique wines from locally grown Italian varieties, as well as a mixed bill of European varieties so you can compare the difference between new world and old. You can purchase directly from the makers on the evening. A grazing board will be stocked up on the night to help you cleanse your palate between tastings, and you can take a break with a dinner special from Al Dente Enoteca.
Our Eurovino Representatives:

Elevate the evening with a Masterclass where over 45 minutes a wine from each of the participating winemakers and importers will be paired with a bite by Andrea from Al Dente Enoteca. Served with a detailed explanation from Jay Bessell (City Wine Shop/ The European) about why the pairing elevates both the food and the drink, the terroir the wine is best produced in. It’s a quintessential experience for any curious food lover or epicurean, and a great chance to taste locally grown against some very unique winemaking styles and processes (old world vs new world).
