“Into the Woods with Generative AI: Drawing pathways to creative pedagogy”

From asking a librarian or archivist for help to telling a friend to “just Google it,” shortcuts on the journey from question to knowledge have been essential in shaping how we learn. And now, AI chatbots like ChatGPT promise to make that route to knowledge even shorter! But, is generative AI the next most efficient way to foster learning? And is an efficient way always the most effective one? Or what if GenAI could be a tool that helps us unravel some delightful turns and lost pathways that we missed on our journey to learning? 

This creative exploratory workshop by Ethics Lab is an invitation to students and faculty across Georgetown to map their perspectives, expertise, and experiences in order to consider: What pathways does Generative AI pave for the future of higher-education?
