Intro to Augmented Reality Art Fusion

Join artist Laura Alice in a relaxed and dynamic introduction for creatives to learn about how to integrate augmented reality into your 2d works.

Designed for artists, illustrators, photographers and other creatives who want to learn about animating their artworks in real time on mobile phones - using accessible and beginner friendly techniques and software. 

You’ll just need an iPhone and a physical 2d artwork or photo you’d like to use. 

This is a hands-on workshop. By the end of the afternoon you will have created an augmented reality activation for your artwork. 

Set in the wonderful new artist-run exhibition space, RUT Gallery - which is nestled in the heart of a creative hub next to Rebecchi’s Cafe 

Settle-in, meet/greet and get a coffee at our wonderful neighbours Rebecchi’s at 1.30- and workshop formalities begin at 2pm 

The workshop includes: 

- Introduction into the art of x-reality 

- Learn about some simple softwares and tools to animate your art 

- Create an AR overlay that anyone can access via a QR code 

- Play and enjoy! 

This will also be a fun and creative afternoon with opportunities to meet and connect with other local creatives!
