Intro to Crochet for Kids Age 8 to 12

Learn the basics of crochet in this fun and creative class for kids!

Crochet is a great way to learn hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and problem-solving. In this class, kids will learn the basic stitches and techniques of crochet so they can be ready to make their own projects, like scarves and hats. They will also learn about different types of yarn and how to choose the right one for their project.

Participants must bring their own crochet hooks and yarn. No experience is necessary. This is a drop off class. Parents are welcome to hang out in the shop or explore the downtown area during the class.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS

This class is available to take In Person at our Shop at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair, NJ 07042. Participants must bring their own crochet hook and yarn. We recommend a size G or H hook and Worsted or Medium weight yarn. Hooks and Yarn are available for an additional purchase. 

APPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATION 

This class is appropriate for Children aged 8 to 12 to participate in. Participants must be at least 8 years old or older and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket. 

CLASS PARTICIPATION

This is a Live event. Participants must attend on the scheduled date and time of the class in order to partake. It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee, and participants will be notified of any changes.

CANCELATION & RESCHEDULING

Participants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If participants cancel the day of the class or do not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund.

INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION

If you live outside of the United States there is an additional fee to ship DIY kits. Participants are responsible for any duty fees, customs fees, or any additional fees associated with receiving their DIY Kits. If a participant chooses to get a DIY Kit it is the participant’s responsibility to make sure their country can receive packages from the US.
