Event description
In this workshop, students will learn the basics of creating a hip hop improv scene. We will dive into various styles of flow and work various aspects of our rhyming brains. There will be exercises to introduce students to rhyming structure, story progression through rapping and more. The workshop will end with scenes that lead into rap. There is no prerequisite for this class.

About the Instructor:
RJ Williams is a comedian, musician, and playwright from New York City. His comedy collectives have headlined festivals around the US and Europe. He has taught at various institutions, including Tokyo Comedy Store, Comedy Clubhouse Barcelona, and Boom Chicago Comedy Festival in Amsterdam. He currently performs with North Coast Hip Hop Improv and the musical super group Baby Wants Candy and he performs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival every year with the show Shamilton.
This is a one-time workshop held Saturday, November 25 from 2-5 pm. The instructor is RJ Williams. All sales are final. Listed price of workshop does not include Humanitix fees which will be added to the total price at checkout. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
