Thank you for registering for our Introduction to Solar & Batteries workshop, Saturday 17 October, 3pm - 5pm at PICAL (16 Warley Av, Cowes).

To get the most value from the session, we encourage you to download your household electricity usage data before attending.

Step 1: Create a myHomeEnergy account

Visit: https://myhomeenergy.com.au/
Follow the prompts to create your myHomeEnergy account.

Step 2: Have your electricity bill ready

You'll need the following information from your electricity bill:

Your NMI (National Meter Identifier)
Your Meter Number

Enter these details when requested.

Step 3: Download your energy data

Once your account is set up and your data is available:

Navigate to your energy data.
Select Export Data.
Download the Detailed CSV file.

Step 4: Bring your data and a device to the workshop

Please either:

Bring the CSV file on a laptop or USB stick, or
Email the file to us before the workshop - tony.gardner@mycelia.org.au

Having your data available will allow us to explore your household energy usage patterns and discuss how solar and battery systems may perform for your home. We also recommend bringing a laptop or tablet to the workshop. We'll be demonstrating the SunSPOT solar and battery planning tool and having your own device will allow you to follow along and explore your property's solar potential during the session.

Optional: Explore your usage graphs

myHomeEnergy provides graphs and visualisations of your electricity usage.

We recommend spending a few minutes reviewing these before the workshop. It can be helpful to notice:

When your household uses the most electricity
Differences between weekdays and weekends
Seasonal changes in energy consumption
Any large spikes in usage

This will make it easier to understand the examples and discussions during the workshop.

We look forward to seeing you there!
