Welcome to Rising Sun Workshop, Newtown's local DIY motorcycle workshop! Want to learn more about your machine and how to maintain it? We've got you covered, with our 'INTRO TO MAINTENANCE' workshop classes. Bring your bike along and we will look after the rest!
COURSE OUTLINE
Intro to motorcycle maintenance is a high level introduction to motorcycle maintenance and mechanics. Focusing on key fundamentals such as identification of key components on an individuals motorcycle, their function, how to visually inspect the components, maintenance intervals and process, identification of key consumables, basic maintenance schedules and basic troubleshooting.
COURSE OUTCOMES
Students will complete the following:
- Bike identification
- Key component identification
- Visual inspection of key components and consumables
- Engine Oil, oil filter and oil change process
- Tyre Pressure, tread, alignment, puncture repair
- Battery testing, charging
- Control Cables, adjusting tension and lubrication
- Rear chain lubrication and adjustment, cleaning, inspection
- Air filter clean, replacement process
- Spark plugs, diagnose and replace
- Brake bleed, Brake pads, Master cylinder inspection and process.
COURSE TIMING
Last Thursday of the month, 6pm 'til 9pm [3 hours]
COURSE COST
$150 for members
$200 for non-members
Optional inclusion: Digital Workshop Manual for members model bike and year for additional $60.
