Intro to Mosaics
Event description
In this introductory class for creatives aged 13+, you will explore the ins and outs of glass-on-glass mosaics as you create a framed decorative translucent window! Over the span of this 6 hour class mosaic artist and teacher Ippy Farnam will cover tools used in the mosaic process, design considerations, glass cutting techniques, safety basics and gluing and grouting methods.
$145 fee covers $30 materials fee and a $27.50 Firehouse Arts Center Fee.
Meet your instructor:
Ippy Farnam is a multi media artist currently engrossed in the world of mosaics. She is versed in Glass on Glass technique, public art installations and opaque cement works. Ippy is a retired Elementary Art Teacher that resides in Lyons, CO. @ippyfarnam
