Event description

This 2-day workshop runs on two consecutive Sundays:
Sunday, November 13th AND November 20th 2022

Description

‘Permaculture’, you have heard the term but what exactly is it?

This two-day intensive Introduction to Permaculture is a great place to find out more! The intensive is part theory, part practical and will immerse you in the permaculture ethics, principles and framework to help you design a sustainable and abundant life.

Some of the topics covered include:

  • What is permaculture?
  • Permaculture ethics and design principles
  • Designing with permaculture zones and sectors
  • Energy and nutrient cycling
  • Veggies, fruit and animals in permaculture systems
  • Social permaculture
  • Practical ways to bring permaculture principles and ethics into your life right now

Showcased within the workshop will be examples ranging from tiny urban gardens to suburban and rural permaculture properties showing how we can create resilient, sustainable systems that work with nature and the natural limits of our planet.

With its market and community garden, chickens, food forest, water and energy harvesting systems and more, CERES provides a great opportunity to study an established permaculture property in action. This workshop will be beneficial to those new to the concept of permaculture and for those thinking of undertaking a Permaculture Design Course.
