Our popular Introduction to Astronomy course runs for 5 weeks, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
The aim of the course is to explore space, stars, and planets along with practical observation tips.
The course runs in May/June each year - 2026 dates are:
Week 1: 12 May - What is in the night sky - identifying the dots and blobs.
Week 2: 19 May - Special guest speaker - details TBA
Week 3: 26 May - Where and how to find to particular objects.
Week 4: 2 June - 'Ask an astronomer', and our regular monthly meeting.
Week 5: 9 June - Ways to optimize your viewing.
