Biodynamics - Enhancing Life Force Processes |
This workshop is highly recommended for all land and soil enthusiasts from backyard/ micro farmers, gardeners to broad acreage land and soil managers. Biodynamics life force processes will help you produce food of the highest nutritional quality in harmony with nature. In 1924 Rudolf Steiner (scientist, philosopher, architect and founder of the Waldorf School and anthroposophy) devised agricultural and horticultural life force production methods known as Biodynamics. Steiner presented a series of agricultural lectures, which suggested that farms are living organisms and are responsible for creating and maintaining their own individual health and vitality. The course will introduce the theory of Biodynamics and provide participants with lots of practical sessions including: |

Presenters: |
Hamish Mackay (Biodynamics2024) Hamish has been a student of Rudolf Steiner’s work for over 50 years and as a Biodynamic Educator is passionate about drawing the attention of growers – large and small – to the spiritual aspects of what they do in their agricultural work. Agriculture is more than just filling stomachs and bank accounts. The skilled grower draws on both Earth and Cosmos bringing healing to soil, plant, animal as well as stimulating the human spirit.
Douglas Ross (Nambruc Natural Farms) Douglas is a Soil Specialist, Regenerative and Biodynamic Farmer. Douglas was a fifth generation conventional farmer until the realisation that these conventional agricultural methods were contributing to land degradation and poor quality food. Douglas has been on a 30 year journey, providing soil nutritional services to conventional farmers and helping them bridge over to Regenerative and Biodynamic farming processes resulting in long term economic solutions.
Mahlah and Kel Gray (The Pines) Mahlah and Kel from the ‘The Pines’ are hosting this workshop on their beautiful farm in Kiama. Established in 1854 ‘The Pines’ is a family run micro-dairy on the South Coast of NSW. ‘The Pines’ uses minimal processing and nurtures their farm with organic, biodynamic, holistic and regenerative farming methods. ‘The Pines’ provides a range of regenerative dairy products including an award winning Cheese, Yoghurt and a range of artisan Gelato to the local community via their farm shop ‘The Pines Pantry’ located on Collins Street in Kiama. |
