• How to determine if a bird is dehydrated and how to correct it
• Various common illnesses in birds
• How to house birds
• How to look after sick and injured birds
• How to feed birds
• The diets, care and rehabilitation of granivores, insectivores, nectivores and carnivores
• How to avoid imprinting
• When and how to release birds
