Event description

INTRODUCTION TO CARPENTRY
with NIKKI

Throughout this workshop, you'll get hands-on experience with a range of essential carpentry tools and their uses including saws, drills and drivers, learning the right tool for each task. No more guesswork — just practical skills you can apply right away.  Starting with constructing a mock-up of a stud wall frame, so you understand how to tackle basic repairs and modifications with confidence, you'll then learn how to cut and fix timber mouldings and securely hang pictures and shelves...level!  Different abilities can be extended by learning about hardware such as adding handles and hinges.

To extend your skills further, you'll finish by building a small planter box that you can take home.

To participate in this workshop, you must have completed our Introduction to the Wood Workshop series OR our Introduction to Woodwork one day workshop OR have previous experience with power tools.  Ticket price is discounted if you have already attended any of our workshops.
