Set in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, enjoy an afternoon exploring weaving techniques in this introduction to coil basket weaving workshop. Each participant will have the opportunity to create their own small coil basket, using plant fibres. Materials are provided, along with knowledge shared to get you started in your future gathering, exploration and crafting. No experience necessary, just a desire to enjoy good company while crafting in nature.

About Bree
Bree Thomas has lived in the Dandenong Ranges as long as she can remember, it is where she draws inspiration and makes art. Her works are produced with a variety of mediums including one or any- ink, pastel, pencil, paper, textiles and fibre. Bree’s main inspiration is the natural world and has a focus on natural fibres. She has a particular interest in the critters found around her, especially the little things that others may not see- the insects. 

Catering

A farm baked afternoon tea will be provided

Accessibility

The workshop will be held in the beautiful back field at Wild Wren Farm. It is walk in access only, down the hill and across the creek. 

Safety and what to bring

Please wear suitable walking shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event.  Please ensure that dogs and other pets are left at home.
