Event description

Learn the movement and history of some traditional Colombian dances, including Cumbia (a traditional and representative Colombian dance) and dances from the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Immerse yourself in the colour and the energy of these dance forms.

Maira Rodriguez has been dancing since she was 6 years old. She grew up in Colombia dancing a variety of styles ranging from hip hop to latin to ballet, and specialises in folkloric dance. Maira has a passion for sharing her culture through dance.

Story Festival: An Intercultural Exchange

A new celebration of collaboration and exchange, centering Clarence’s diverse and intercultural communities. Through stories of food, dance, and song, we can learn about each other’s worlds. Join us for a week of performances, talks and activities across Clarence.
