Event description

ABOUT ECOLOGICAL ENQUIRY

From Ecosystems to social systems, technology to language, chemical reactions to biological happenings, ideas to language, histories to possible futures, this planet to human creatures, the non-human, the more-than-human, and the universe, all things seems to be entangled in relationship with something else (often, many things).

We seem to be ecological creatures, living within an ecological universe, accompanied by many other ecological beings and happenings.

Sitting at the intersection of ecological research, storytelling, and embodied practise, ecological enquiry is one of many practises that can bring us a living relationship with the complexity, relationality, and interbeing that we human creatures are so wonderfully entangled within.

Find out more about the practise, lineage, and who this practise is normally a good fit for (and who it isn't) at ecologicalenquiry.co.uk.

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEAVE WITH

  • An awareness of the three core aspects of ecological enquiry and how they work together.

  • An embodied experience of practising ecological enquiry.

KEY NOTES

  1. These sessions are participatory. Participants will be led through a guided practise, and time will be made available for questions and/or sharings. Therefore, these sessions aren't a good fit for people that prefer to absorb information rather than participate.

  2. The Zoom room 'doors' close at 5 minutes past the session start time. This ensures that we aren't interrupted during a practise, and that participants leave with enough theory and practise.

  3. If the session includes inviting participants into small breakout rooms, participants will be offered an alternative, such as staying in the main room with me.

  4. These sessions are held on Zoom and are in English.

  5. Participants are trusted to respect the authorship of ecological enquiry documentation and information shared, much of which is shared freely.

  6. After the session, participants will be invited to make a financial contribution. Following the session, participants will receive an an email where they can make a financial contribution via paypal or wise if a financial contribution feels right and matches financial capacity.

  7. These sessions run monthly and oscillate between late morning and afternoon timings, to create alignment with as many timezones as possible. If you can't find a time that works for your timezone and you can gather a group together, please reach out.

If you have any questions or concerns about joining a session, please reach out to me at annam@somethingbird.com.

Otherwise, I look forward to being in enquiry with you soon.

Warmly,
Anna-Marie
