Selecting the Right Spices to Grow - Take into account your local climate and available space when choosing which spices to grow. Understand the differences between tropical and temperate species, and consider whether the plants are annuals or perennials. Explore how microclimates and indoor vs. outdoor growing conditions affect your options.

Light and Temperature Requirements - Gain insight into the sunlight and temperature needs of popular spice plants. Understand the ideal growing conditions to ensure healthy growth and maximum yield.

Spice Spotlight - Delve into the specific growing needs of ginger, turmeric, galangal, cinnamon, pepper, cumin and coriander seed, discussing the soil, growing, water harvest and pest management needs. We will also briefly highlight some native spices - allspice, all the native myrtles (lemon, cinnamon, curry and aniseed).
