HeartSeed Training is offering a 2‑hour experiential workshop for The Compassionate Friends that gently introduces the HeartMath® system and the link between energy and resilience. Together, we’ll explore how increasing our energy capacity naturally increases our resilience capacity, and how these two ideas can be understood and worked with as one.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of heart coherence and how heart rate variability (HRV) can be used as an indicator of nervous system health. With HeartMath technology, we’ll observe real‑time biofeedback and practise simple techniques that can create a noticeable shift in emotional state and attitude within just 2–3 minutes, helping the body move from fight‑or‑flight into more regenerative states that support growth, repair, and inner steadiness.

We’ll also explore how accessing the intelligence of the heart is a powerful inner resource — the heart has its own “brain” and memory, and can guide us toward greater clarity, calm, and connection. HeartMath has published many studies over the last 30 years that reveal the science of the heart and the tremendous resource each of us carries with every heartbeat.

These tools and techniques were originally developed for first responders and emergency services to reduce burnout and emotional fatigue. In this workshop, we will also explore the difference between care and over-care, how to recognise when a depleting state is operating, and how to pause and shift in real time. Although this is an introductory course to HeartMath, you will leave with practical, easy‑to‑use techniques that have a measurable effect on your physiology and can support you in everyday life.
