    Event description

Spend 3 hours with 7th Degree Sifu Marc Webster (30 years experience) and 2nd Degree Sifu Geoff Gordon (15 years experience) exploring this amazing version of Southern Preying Mantis Kung Fu as created by 9th Degree grandmaster Henry Sue (67 years experience).

This martial art is made up of three types of Kung Fu - Mantis, Eagle Claw, and Cotton Palm. It includes Qigong methods for iron palm, iron jacket, health, meditation, and more.

The circular and borrowing principles of Chen and Yang style Tai Chi have been distilled and merged with the speed and hard hitting of the Southern Mantis system to create a dynamic system for health, combat, and self protection.

This introductory session will look at the history and lineage of the art, foundation exercises and drills, and the grading curriculum.

It is an ideal opportunity to gain great insight and a little experience in what is involved with learning this system.

You will come away with a solid understanding of the evolution of this art and how to perform the basic warm ups and foundation drills of the system.
