    Discover the processes to home herbalism with hands-on, practical methods to identify, harvest, process and make your own herbal preparations and recipes to take home.

    Located in the Shed Behind the Barn at Fair Harvest Permaculture Farm from 9.30am to 3.00pm on Saturday, 12 March 2022.

    Topics we will cover (with take-home resources for further learning):

    - Common medicinal/edible weed and plant identification walk
    - Safe foraging and harvesting methods
    - Wildcrafting with common herbs from the garden
    - Herbal processing: Drying and storing methods
    - Decolonising herbalism and community-sufficiency discussion
    - Herbal processing Preparations overview, types of extractions, how/when appropriate to use
    - A demonstration and immersion with two selected herbal preparations, giving you the key steps and confidence to re-create at home
    - Take home herbal preparations made in class and recipes

    Lunch and herbal teas provided.

    About the facilitator:
    Tamara is a young 'home herbalist and permie' who began studying/immersing in the processes of herbal medicine making whilst living in the UK in 2018. Since returning to Australia, she has become immersed in both Permaculture & Herbalism grass-roots education and living. Through her workshops, she focuses on the importance of skill sharing, community-sufficiency, decolonizing herbalism, and the Permaculture ethics of; Earth care, People care, Fair share.
