Introduction to NZSL

Curious about New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL)? Come along to one of two relaxed, introductory sessions at Frankton Library and discover just how much you can communicate with your hands!

These fun and informal sessions are designed for complete beginners – no previous knowledge of NZSL is needed. Our Deaf NZSL tutor will introduce you to some useful everyday signs, give you a feel for how NZSL works, and share insights into Deaf culture and communication. Whether you’re interested in NZSL for personal, family, work or community reasons, come along, meet others and give it a go!
