Introduction to Permaculture
Event description
If you’ve ever wondered what Permaculture is all about, this is the weekend for you!
Modern life preaches scarcity and separation, permaculture is all about togetherness and abundance.
Discover an ingenious method for making decisions based on age old wisdom, enabling you to live a more balanced and rewarding life in tune with other humans and more than humans.
Mike & Lou will show you their family home, featured on Gardening Australia in November 2021, a great example of what you can do with a suburban quarter acre block with practical advice and tips regarding
- Designing the garden, building quality soil and composting for success.
- Managing water storage and usage.
- Recycling, re-using and re-purposing in as many ways as possible.
- Harnessing the abundance in the kitchen.
- Slowing down, recognising the patterns all around and within us that are trying to tell us something!
This workshop is run over one weekend (non-residential) and involves two days from 8:30am until 5pm including:
- Morning tea and lunch both days.
- Home made vegan & gluten-free friendly meals. Homegrown where possible.
- Bottomless tea, coffee, water refills.
- Notes and resources emailed prior to maximise your experience in person.
You just need to bring:
- Suitable attire for the elements. We have an undercover space but 90% of the weekend will be outside.
- Sensible closed shoes.
- Water bottle
- An open mind and lots of questions.
