Event description

Paul McIntyre is an award winning, nationally and internationally produced Playwright whose work includes ‘That Guy’ (1994), ‘Shooting Cupid’ (1999), ‘Who Knows’ (2009) and ‘The Monsters Apprentice’ (2013).

In 2017 Paul developed and coordinated ‘The Convict Monologues’ a project which featured the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and lecturers at the University of Tasmania collaborating with inmates at Risdon Prison to write a play based on the experiences of men and women transported to Van Diemen’s Land in the early 19th century.

Paul is also the  Author of ‘Little Book of Slow’ (2017 co-authored with Sally Wise) and ‘Use it or lose it’ (2019).

Prior to his current work with Lifeline Tasmania Paul was a Producer, Presenter and Online Feature Writer for ABC where he worked from 1995 – 2022.
