Introduction to Portfolio Design - Fashion Design

If you’re considering a career in design, Whitehouse offers the exciting opportunity to develop your foundation Fashion & Design, culminating in the start of a specialist professional portfolio in Fashion Design.

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of Fashion Design in this one day intensive workshop that begins with an interactive hands on lecture covering the basics of Fashion Design and Fashion Communication. Students research a current theme in Fashion which will direct a design concept from initial ideas to finished design communication. Students apply fabrics and prints to communicate their design before finalising their concepts digitally on a fashion figure through inDesign. Resulting in the foundations of a professional portfolio that will act as the starting point to studying a career in Fashion.

What will you take away from the workshop? One A3 physical Collage and one A3 Digital Fashion Communication (collage, illustration, fabric swatches and typography).

Resources will be provided for you, however please bring the following to participate: 
Lead pencils, Pencil Sharpener, Artline fineliner Pen, Eraser, Scissors, Glue stick/Double Sided Tape, A3 Folder/A3 Sleeve
