Approximately one hour of this class will be held outside (weather permitting) a couple minutes of walking up the road. Please reach out if you have any concerns regarding this!

The art of keeping a sketchbook is a personal & creative journey, and my goal is for you to get paint onto paper! I want to show you how we can document our daily life as a meditative practice in a low pressure environment, and create a safe space within the pages of your sketchbook.

This 4 hour workshop will explore basic art & design fundamentals while creating loose landscapes and crazy drawings. This includes basic colour theory, composition techniques, water control, tone, texture, and mark making. We will also do some loose drawing exercises as well as some 'plein air' time sketching outside.

An artist grade handmade sketchbook is included in the price of your ticket, with materials dependent on your ticket selection.

BYO ($85) - a set of (ideally artist grade) water based paint, with at least three colours, a black drawing pen, paintbrushes, any sketching tools you're comfortable with.

Provided ($135) - A curated palette of water based paint, a black drawing pen, and a water brush. All yours to use for class and to take home afterwards.

As this will be held in an art store, if you wanted to arrive 20-30 mins early for a bit of a personalised shopping experience you are welcome to.

Suitable for beginners through to intermediate wanting to loosen up or re-learn loose basics.
