Introduction to the Social Enterprise Formula: Workshop in Parramatta
Event description
The What, Why and How of Social Enterprise.
Join us at Parramatta Town Hall to demystify social enterprise; exploring what they are, the cultural trends fueling the social enterprise movement and what's involved in launching one. This in-person workshop is led by StartSomeGood's Co-Founder and Enterpreneur-in-Residence, Tom Dawkins.
Event Description
We are living in the Era of Purpose. We see this all around us as consumers proudly shop their values, graduates demand more purpose-driven work and impact investment and social procurement grow rapidly.
What even is a social enterprise? How can we distinguish them and is this more than just purpose-washing? Can you make a living, and build wealth, while also doing good? What are the wider forces that are driving the rise of social enterprise?
We will cover:
1) What is a social enterprise, really, and what are the different impact models social enterprises use;
2) The trends that are fueling the growth of social enterprises today and how these trends create tangible advantages for impact-focused businesses;
3) What's involved in designing and launching a social enterprise?
4) The formula for successfully launching a new social enterprise (or any impact project)
Join us to find out what's going on in this space and be inspired about what is possible!
