Introduction to wheel throwing 11/10/26

Come and spend 2.5 hours in this hands on introduction to wheel throwing workshop. Our facilitator will run you through the basic techniques of wheel throwing. A sensory, mindful and creative experience.  You will have 5 x 400 gram balls of clay toyalling 2 kgs and pre wedged. Participants can keep 2 of the pieces they create to see them through the firing and glaze processes which is completed by our facilitator once they are dried. All materials, clay and glaze are provided. All glazes are food grade. Items will take 5 to 6 weeks before they are completed and ready for collection.  

Come alone or bring some friends. A lovely session learning something new. 

Please bring your own water bottle and an old towel. 

We reccommend participants tie up long hair and nails are kept short. Wear older and warm clothes, we are playing with mud.

This session will provide you with opportunities to learn centering, coning, opening, pulling, trimming and removing from the wheel.

We are located in the back shed behind the Arteyrea (fish on a bike) building.
